Microsaic inks Asia Pacific distribution agreement with Rightek

Mass spectrometry instruments developer Microsaic Systems has inked an agreement with a Taiwanese scientific equipment distributor covering the distribution across the Asia Pacific region of its 4500 MiD instrument.
Microsaic saw the deal with Taipei-based Rightek as an opportunity to further consolidate its strategy of extending sales of its spectrometer technology into the Asia Pacific area thanks to the distributor's "expertise in understanding end-user applications", together with its "proven track record" of working with a wide range of specialised scientific instrumentation.

Glenn Tracey, Microsaic's chief executive, said, "This agreement is in line with our strategy to partner with locally based and established channel partners, with expertise in selling innovative analytical instrumentation to progressive end-users in process and pharmaceutical markets."

Moses Shih, general manager of Rightek, added: "We believe that Microsaic's compact, point-of-need systems can improve the efficiencies by optimizing the process in chemical and pharma industries."

The 4500 MiD, Microsaic's core product, is a robust and compact mass spectrometry system, retaining the functionality of larger conventional MS systems, consuming less energy and having lower running costs than immediate alternatives.
