Brent Oil Chart
Brent Oil is also known as London Brent or Noth Sea Oil. It originates from the fields which were named by Shell and ExxonMobil after the Brent Goose (All their exploration fields were named after birds). It is a light cude oil but slightly heavier than WTI. It is traded electronically via the ICE futures exchange although many in Europe now opt to spread betting or CFDs for trading the front month contracts.
Brent oil is a highly coveted commodity that serves as a benchmark for global oil prices and holds the potential to significantly impact global economic conditions. The chart of Brent oil is influenced by a variety of factors, including global demand, geopolitical tensions, supply disruptions, and weather patterns. Economic conditions, such as inflation and interest rates, also play a pivotal role in determining the price. Inflation, for instance, can lead to an increased demand for oil as a hedge against rising prices, while higher interest rates can discourage investments in the oil industry, resulting in lower prices.
